Excites sexual organs and acts on central frightened machine and respiratory center. An aphrodisiac, used in physiological doses, however contraindicated in all acute and continual inflammations of belly organs. Homeopathically, must be of carrier in congestive prerequisites of the sexual organs. Causes hyperaemia of the milk glands and stimulates the feature of lactation. Menorrhagia.
Head.–Agitation, with flying sensations of warmth in face. Disagreeable, steel taste. Copious salivation. Nausea and eructation.
Sexual.–Strong and lasting erections. Neurasthenic impotence. Bleeding piles. Intestinal haemorrhage. Urethritis.
Fever.–Rigor; extreme heat, waves of warmness and chilliness, tendency to sweat.
Sleep.–Sleepless. Thoughts of activities of complete previous existence hold him awake.
Dose.–As a sexual stimulant, ten drops of a one per cent solution, or hypodermic capsules of zero 005 gm. Homeopathic dose, 0.33 potency.
