The German Viper (VIPERA)
Viper poisoning reasons a brief expand in reflexes, paresis supervenes, a paraplegia of the decrease extremities extending upwards. Resembles acute ascending paralysis of Landry (Wells). Has exclusive motion on kidneys and induces haematuria. Cardiac dropsy.
Indicated in infection of veins with notable swelling; bursting sensation. Enlargement of liver. Ailments of menopause. Å’dema of glottis. Poly-neuritis, polio-myelitis.
Face.–Excessively swollen. Lips and tongue swollen, livid, protruding. Tongue dry, brown, black. Speech difficult.
Liver.–Violent ache in enlarged liver, with jaundice and fever; extends to shoulder and hip.
Extremities.–Patient is obliged to maintain the extremities elevated. When they are allowed to dangle down, it appears as if they would burst, and the ache is insufferable (Diad). Varicose veins and acute phlebitis. Veins swollen, sensitive; bursting pain. Severe cramps in decrease extremities.
Skin.–Livid. Skin peels in giant plates. Lymphangioma, boils, carbuncles, with bursting sensation, relieved by using elevating parts.
Relationship.–Pelius berus-Adder (Prostration and fainting, faltering pulse, pores and skin yellow, ache about navel. Swelling of arm, tongue, proper eye; giddiness, nervousness, faintness, sickness, compression of chest, should now not breathe exact or take a deep breath; aching and stiffness of limbs, joints stiff, collapsed feeling, notable thirst). Eel serum (heart and kidney diseases. Failure of compensation and impending asystole).
Dose.–Twelfth potency.
