Rosin-weed (SILPHIUM)

Respiratory.–Cough with expectoration profuse, stringy, frothy, light-colored. Excited with the aid of experience of mucus rattling in chest and worse via drafts of air. Constriction of lungs. Relationship.–Compare: Aral; Copaiv; Tereb; Cubeb; Samb; Silphion cyrenaicum (phthisis pulmonum, with incessant cough, profuse night-sweats, emaciation, etc); Polygonum aviculare (has been discovered beneficial in phthisis, when given in cloth doses of the mom tincture); Salvia (tickling cough). Arum dracontium (loose cough at night time on mendacity down). Justicia adhatoda (bronchial catarrh, hoarseness, oversensitive).

Dose.–Third potency. Lower triturations desired through some.
