Respiratory.–Nose dry. Tickling in throat-pit reasons cough. Copious mucous discharge from nostril and trachea. Dry, teasing cough, stopping sleep. Aggravated by using pressure, talking, and in particular by means of inspiring cool air and at night. Thin, watery, frothy expectoration via the mouthful: later, stringy and tough. Rawness of larynx and trachea. Soreness in the back of sternum, mainly left side, in location of left shoulder. Raw ache beneath clavicle. Lump in throat.
Stool.–Brown, watery, diarrhoea early in morning, with cough, using him out of bed. Valuable in superior phthisis (Seneg; Puls; Lycop; Ars). Itching of anus, with sensation as of a stick in rectum. Piles.
Skin.–Intense itching of skin, particularly of decrease extremities; worse, publicity to bloodless air when undressing. Urticaria; contagious prurigo.
Modalities.–Worse, in evening, from inhaling bloodless air; left chest; uncovering.
Relationship.–Compare: Caust; Sulph; Bell; Rumex consists of chrysophanic acid to which the pores and skin signs correspond. Rumex acetosa-Sheep sorrel–(Gathered in June and dried, used domestically for Epithelioma of face (Cowperthwaite). Dry, unremitting quick cough, and violent pains in the bowels; uvula elongated; irritation of oesophagus; additionally cancer); Rumex obtusifolius-Lapathum-Broad-leaf dock–(nosebleed and headache following; ache in kidneys; leucorrhoea).
Dose.–Third to sixth potency.
