Snow-rose (RHODODENDRON)
Rheumatic and gouty signs and symptoms nicely marked. Rheumatism in the warm season. The modality (worse earlier than a storm) is a proper guiding symptom.
Mind.–Dread of a storm; specially afraid of thunder. Forgetful.
Head.–Aching in temples. Tearing ache in bones. Headache; worse, wine, wind, bloodless and moist weather. Pain in eyes earlier than a storm. Ciliary neuralgia, involving eyeball, orbit, and head. Heat in eyes when the usage of them.
Eyes.–Muscular asthenopia; darting pains via eyes from head, worse earlier than a storm.
Ears.–Difficult hearing, with whizzing and ringing in ears. Hearing higher in the morning; noises come on after affected person has been up a few hours.
Face.–Prosopalgia; violent jerking ache involving dental nerves, from temple to decrease jaw and chin; better, warmness and eating. toothache in damp climate and earlier than a storm. Swollen gums. Stumps of enamel are loosened.
Chest.–Violent pleuritic pains walking downward in left anterior chest. Breathless and speechless from violent pleuritic pains strolling down the anterior chest. Stitches in spleen from quick walking. Crampy ache underneath brief ribs.
Male.–Testicles, worse left, swollen, painful, drawn up. Orchitis; glands experience crushed. Induration and swelling of testes after gonorrhoea. Hydrocele (Sil).
Extremities.–Joints swollen. Gouty irritation of excellent toe-joint. Rheumatic tearing in all limbs, mainly proper side; worse, at relaxation and in stormy weather. Stiffness of neck. Pain in shoulders, arms, wrists; worse when at rest. Pains in bones in spots, and reappear by means of exchange of weather. Cannot sleep except legs are crossed.
Modalities.–Worse, earlier than a storm. All signs and symptoms reappear in difficult weather, night, closer to morning. Better, after the storm breaks, warmth, and eating.
Relationship.–Compare: Ampelopsis (hydrocele and renal dropsy); Dulc; Rhus; Nat sulph.
Dose.–First to sixth potency.
