Purified Paraffin (PARAFFINE)
Valuable in uterine affections. Particularly serviceable in constipation. Knife-like pains. Pains lengthen from one section to another, and alternate. Pain in belly alternates with ache in throat and spine.
Head.–Left aspect of head and face go through most; pains stinging and twisting. Pain as if a nail had been pushed in left facet of vertex. Twisting in left ear.
Eyes.–Vision dim; black specks before. Lids red. Sensation as if there have been fats on the eyes.
Mouth.–Tearing, twisting ache in tooth down to decrease jaw. Full of saliva; feels sticky; bitter taste.
Stomach.–Hungry all the time. Pain throughout stomach. Pain in belly alternates with ache in throat and spine, extends to chest with belching. Fixed ache in left hypochondrium, as if components had been being twisted. Palpitation with belly pains.
Abdomen.–Pain in decrease abdomen, extending to genitals, rectum and coccyx; better, sitting.
Rectum.–Frequent want for stool. Obstinate constipation in teens (Alumina; Nyctanthes). Chronic constipation, with haemorrhoids and persistent urging to stool, barring result.
Female.–Menses too late, black, abundant. Milky leucorrhoea. Nipples ache when touched, as if sore inside. Stabbing ache in mons veneris. Very warm urine with burning pains in vulva.
Extremities.–Pain in backbone extending to inguinal area and in each loins, when ascending the stairs. Feeling of electric powered shocks in all joints. Wrenching ache in calves, extending into toes, in joints. Feet swollen with tearing in ankles and soles.
Skin.–Burns, even of 0.33 degree, with sloughing and sepsis. Wash with sterile water and dry and spray with paraffin, and cowl with skinny layer of cotton. Useful additionally in frost bites.
Relationship.–Compare: Naphthalin; Petrol; Kreos; Eupion.
Dose.–Lower triturations and thirtieth potency.
