LOBELIA PURPURASCENS
Purple Lobelia
Profound prostration of all the fundamental forces and of the apprehensive system; respiratory paralysis. Nervous prostration of influenza. Coma. Tongue white and paralyzed.
Head.–Confused and depressed. Headache with nausea, vertigo; in particular between eyebrows. Cannot hold eyes open; spasmodic closure of lids.
Chest.–Superficial respiration; coronary heart and lungs experience paralyzed; breathing slow. Heart beats sound to him like increase of a drum.
Eyes.–Impossible to maintain open. Drowsy.
Relationship.–Compare: Baptisa; Lobelia cardinalis (debility, mainly of lower extremities; oppressed breathing, pleurisy, sticking ache in chest on taking a long breath. Pain in left lung, intermitting pricking in the course of the day).
Dose.–Third potency.
